America, this great nation, was founded upon Christianity and the Bible much to the consternation of the political Left.
The far-left progressives and their left-wing ilk want nothing more than to see their beloved ideology permeate every aspect of American life.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, common decency, biblical truth, respect for our nation, and traditional family values have rapidly been replaced with:
- scientific theories touted as fact
- unholy unions paraded with pride
- censored anti-American history taught in our schools
- women’s “rights” taking precedence over life
- race used as an excuse for violence
- perversion and gender confusions foisted on the innocent
- hate-filled speech spewed at conservative thought
- elections stolen to advance the communist agenda
- patriotism and law enforcement spoken like a dirty word
All the while the daily onslaught of the heavily-biased mainstream media, which promotes the leftist/globalist agenda, bolsters the divisions that exist in our country and quashes any semblance of actual truth.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. . . When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44)
With all the lies and evil that masquerades in opulent attire on the political runway of this world, what is a Christian to do when their righteous anger turns to carnal wrath?
- Pray daily for patience, strength, and wisdom.
- Accept the present situation as part of God’s plan prophesied long ago.
- Shine forth as a light—an ambassador of Christian love.
Pray Daily for Patience, Strength, and Wisdom
Anger is not wrong. It is only sinful when we react in a sinful way because of it.
When you feel the rage building up for the offenses that traipse indecently in front of you, take your righteous anger before the throne with a deep sigh and closed eyes knowing this: no one will get away with anything.
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be made known and come abroad. (Luke 8:17)
God knows the secrets of every heart.
All the closed-door meetings are not barred to Him. He sees all the lofty orchestrations of man and laughs. While it is maddening to see the evil man prosper, aren’t we told in Job 20:5 that the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment?
God has promised,
To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. (Deuteronomy 32:35)
We can rise from our knees in peace, filled with the knowledge that God is greater than all that threatens to unhinge us; He’s stronger than everything that mocks His name.
But what about those who claim the name Christian, yet espouse the same political ideology that disrespects God and the Bible? How do we not let our anger flare over their willful lack of spiritual understanding of God and the world we live in?
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. (Titus 1:16)
These so-called Christians live no differently than the world around them. They have the look and the catchphrases of Christianity, but little to no substance.
By aligning themselves with the Left, they endorse the politics of abortion and gay marriage. Their unbiblical stance on women pastors, divorce and remarriage, and women’s “rights” is no problem for them. They bypass biblical truth in the guise they are spreading the “love” of Jesus.
Our carnal selves want to shake them and shout, “How can you call yourself a Christian and endorse a political party the lives contrary to Christ’s teachings?”
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Be at peace, dear Christian. There is nothing you can do.
Stand up for truth, yes. God wants us to shine forth His truth with love and humility, exposing the evil for what it is.
But no amount of haranguing for God will turn them around if He has not opened their eyes or they refuse to see.
Not everyone who saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)
God knows who are His.
Accept the Present Situation as Part of God’s Plan Prophesied Long Ago
This runaway train of depravity careening past us is a keen reminder that the second coming of Christ is near. The story is set.
We were never meant to change the course of this world, but to rise above it.
The Progressives in our nation clamor for change. Stifling economic and dangerous national security views aside, they want progress that takes giant leaps away from belief in the truth of the Bible, one man/one woman marriage, and personal accountability to a holy God.
They want a reformed and tolerant society. Re-formed from the traditional godly values that gave this country her glory and toleration of any other religion besides the one that originally blessed it: Christianity.
If you speak of the one and only right way, obedience to Jesus Christ, you will not be tolerated.
The insanity of the far-left mindset has taken hold of this country, but other nations around the globe have been infested by Satan’s lies far worse than we. Communism, totalitarian dictatorships, the pure evil of Islam.
And the worst is yet to come.
2 Timothy 3:1 reminds us that in the last days perilous times shall come. That mankind will become increasingly wicked, deceiving and being deceived.
Matthew 24 prophesies that,
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
Our responsibility, as American Christians waiting for Christ’s return, is to be vigilant, paying careful attention to world events so as not to be deceived.
We are to be ever prayerful, handing over all our escalating rage that living in an increasingly God-less society brings, so that we may be accounted worthy to escape the perilous times that will befall the whole earth (Luke 21:36).
(Yes, the US included.)
With the Spirit of Christ living inside us, we will retain the strength needed to not engage in a foolish and futile war of words with those that taunt us and can endure the hatred spewed against Christian conservative thought without hating back.
The wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. (James 1:20)
Shine Forth as a Light—An Ambassador of Christian Love
It is in our carnal nature to rail against the injustice, the hypocrisy, the falsehood we see around us every day.
But as ambassadors of Christ, we cannot shine the light of the knowledge of the glory of God if we are overcome with anger and fighting the wrong fight.
Remember: this is not our fight.
All the world’s governments will be destroyed at Christ’s return. All of them! There is no debate here.
Even if a political party aligns itself more closely with Christianity than another, it is not worth becoming spiritually defiled by trying to defend it.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. (Proverbs 16:32)
These temporal things that foster rage will one day burn to ash. So, where is your allegiance? Whose side are you on? God’s or a flawed and fleeting ideology.
Those who march lock-step after wickedness, no matter their excuse, will have to face God at his return. Our battle is not with them, but with the one who hates us all: Satan.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the ruler of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
Our only hope when anger threatens to consume us, dear Christian, is to pray, accept, and shine while clinging to the eternal truth of God’s coming kingdom.
Ye are the light of the world . . . Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14–16)

We are such a depraved people. More and more so as time continues on. Yes, the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s. His is the vindication. But we can put on love, and we can shine it bright for all to see- that love conquers all! ❤️ Great post!

Thank you, Rachel. This was a hard one to right. I had to keep my own frustrations and carnal wrath out of it and steer my emotions towards the center of all things—Christ. If we are not living in the love of Christ, we are none of His. Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it. : )
